Week 1 football capsules: WV hosts Enterprise in Tri Counties Bank Game of the Week

Previews of all Shasta County football games for Week One

Football finally hits September as everyone in the Northern Section will have a game under their belt after this weekend. Some teams — Shasta and Central Valley — even have bye weeks this early in the year.

West Valley faces its third “Redding” area squad when it hosts Enterprise at The Pasture at 7:30 p.m. Friday. It’s the season opener for the Hornets, while the Eagles have been Tri Counties Bank Game of the Week staples, playing in the Shasta County Sports marquee matchup for the third straight week.
