West Valley High junior Cade Lambert and senior sBailey Sulzer and Devin Low talk about the 2018 season.

West Valley High junior Cade Lambert and seniors Bailey Sulzer and Devin Low talk about the 2018 season. The Eagles are the reigning Northern Athletic League champions, pushing through to a 5-0 mark to claim the league title last year after starting 0-4.

One of their wins along the way was against intradistrict rival Anderson, which got the last laugh and bounced West Valley from the playoffs in the Northern Section Division II semifinals.

With a talented backfield, strong offensive line and a defense that is always nasty, West Valley expects to have a shot at the Division III title this season.

West Valley opens its season at home Friday at The Pasture against Foothill in the  Redding Rancheria Game of the Week.
