Two Shasta County soccer teams will be home in the opening round of the CIF Northern California Regional Playoffs Tuesday and a six of the eight Northern Section teams who reached the playoffs at hosting a first round playoff game.

U-Prep’s girls soccer team finished off an unbeaten season at 25-0-1 to capture its fifth straight Northern Section Division I title. The Panthers are slotted as the No. 3 seed in the NorCal Division IV playoffs and hosts No. 6 Marin Academy (19-3) Tuesday at 4 p.m. U-Prep lost in the NorCal D-V championship game to Lowell last year and lost to the same team two years ago in the NorCal D-IV semifinals.
West Valley (16-6-3), the runner-up to U-Prep Saturday with a 2-0 defeat, is seeded sixth in the NorCal D-V bracket and goes to No. 3 Pleasant Valley (13-7-4) Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Eagles and Vikings played to a 1-1 draw the only time they met this season on Dec. 13 in the Foothill Tournament.
Chico (21-4) was awarded the fourth-seed and hosts No. 5 Ben Holt College Prep Academy (14-4-3) of Stockton Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Shasta High beat Pleasant Valley 1-0 for the Northern Section Division I title and is awarded the No. 7 seed in the NorCal D-III bracket. The Wolves (13-2) go on the road to No. 2 East Union (14-3-8) of Manteca Tuesday at 4 p.m. East Union won the Sac-Joaquin Section D-III championship as the No. 8 seed.
Anderson captured the Northern Section Division II with a 1-0 win over Corning on Saturday and is awarded the No. 2 seed in the NorCal D-V bracket. The Cubs (23-0-1) host No. 7 Colusa (22-1-2) Tuesday in a NorCal Quarterfinal.
Also in D-V, Corning (20-2-1) is seeded fourth and hosts No. 4 Encina Prep of Sacramento (20-3-1).
Pleasant Valley (14-5-3) is the No. 3 seed in the NorCal D-IV bracket and hosts No. 6 Cardinal Newman (16-7-3) of Santa Rosa Tuesday in the quarterfinals. Cardinal Newman lost in the North Coast Section D-IV finals as the top-seed.
