Midseason Offensive Heisman Watch List

Taking a look at the top offensive performers at the midway point of the season

As odd as it is, the high school football season is already at its midpoint. It’s time to look at the Heisman candidates so far, beginning with the offense.

Each of the first two Shasta County Sports Heisman winners hailed from West Valley with Bailey Sulzer taking home Heisman and Defensive MVP honors in 2018 and Cade Lambert doing the same the following season. The Offensive MVPs on those two seasons came from Foothill quarterbacks Jayden Gordon (2018) and Brandon Merryman, respectively.

The 2021 Heisman is presented by Tri Counties Bank.

Even though some teams have played two games and others three, we’re already seeing some players rise to the top of the rest of the group. Players on this list are ordered alphabetically by last name.

NOTE: This is for public opinion and has NO IMPACT on postseason accolades. There is still half of the season and any player can move into consideration. These rankings are offered as an update on the top players in the running for Shasta County Sports Offensive Heisman.
