University Prep football coach Darren Trueblood died Wednesday of lung cancer. He was 54.

The North State football community provided an outpouring of support for their former coach and opponent, offering different perspectives into the impact he made in the area.

Below are photos Shasta County Sports has taken during his two-year stint at U-Prep, which followed a three-year break between coaching gigs after he spent 13 season as the Enterprise head football coach. The photos are a collection of shots from Mike Daly, Tony Hord and T.J. Holmes.

Shasta County Sports was created in 2018 and does not own the rights to photos of Trueblood at Enterprise.
