Football Pick’em Recap: Week One presented by Weaver Lumber & Milgard Windows
Congrats to Zach Miller of Cottonwood for being the Pick’em Weekly Winner for Week One, earning a free Dutch Bros. Redding Coffee Free Beverage drink. Miller scored 10 points out of the possible 13 points. Joe Carrillo came in second. Note: In the event of a tie with points and tiebreaker, the computer randomly picks a winner.
Everyone is still eligible to win the $500 Visa Gift Card for playing for FREE. The person at the end of the season with the most points wins the grand prize. The weekly winners are awarded a Dutch Bros. Coffee Drink.
Here are some stats from last week’s games:
–The public was correct on picking 8 of the 11 games, missing on Orland over Anderson (2%), Live Oak over U-Prep (1%) and Ferndale over Fall River (4%)
—U-Prep to beat Live Oak was the most popular pick as 148 of 149 picked the Panthers — that’s right, only ONE person picked Live Oak
–Only 10 people got the bonus/tiebreaker correct, which was “How many different players will score a touchdown in the Enterprise-West Valley Tri Counties Bank Game of the Week?” The answer was 7, meaning 6-7 was the winner (6%). The most popular pick was 4-5 people will score a TD, which 122 people (or 81%) picked.
Make sure to MAKE YOUR PICKS by Friday at 7 p.m. for Week 2.
Also, check out the Leaderboard to see where you rank so far. It will be updated weekly. Zach Miller (21 points) and Kirk Wilkins (20 points) leads the field, including the media. T.J. Holmes is the media leader with 19 points, tied for third overall with seven public pickers.
