Cover 2 Podcast: Playoffs mean win or go home

Listen here for the Shasta County Sports Cover 2 Podcast for the first round of 11 man playoffs and semifinal action in 8-man and Week 10 of the junior college slate.

Like every week, it’s broken up into four downs. Here’s a look at our topics for this week:

First Down: A look back at U-Prep’s 33-6 loss to East Nicolaus in the Tri Counties Bank Game of the Week as well as the momentary lapse that cost Shasta a 38-35 loss to Lassen in a rare non-league game in Week 10. Plus, we tackle Enterprise’s first win and the first round of 8-Man playoff action.

Second Down: We dissect the Tri Counties Bank Game of the Week – Burney at Redding Christian in the 8-Man semifinals. Plus, Enterprise travels to Foothill, West Valley host Wheatland and U-Prep travels to Sutter.

Third Down: T.J. and Aaron tackle the Shasta College loss to American River, how the Knights look to bounce back against rival Butte and what it all means for a bowl game for the green and white.

Fourth Down: Shasta County Sports has a ton of free content for you – take a look. Plus, our One Thing focuses on the win-or-go-home nature of the postseason where, if you’re not careful, it could be basketball season sooner than you expect.
