There’s a 1954 book called “How to Lie with Statistics.” The premise is that numbers can, at times, be distorted and twisted to tell half-truths and partial stories.
There was no stretching the truth Thursday to the fact that the stat sheet said the Foothill boys basketball team outrebounded Shasta 36-18 in a 65-53 Eastern Athletic League win at Harlan Carter Gym.
