The 2019 prep football season delivered nail-biting games, undefeated regular seasons, local league title winners and one Northern Section championship for teams in Shasta County.
The second Shasta County Sports All-County Football Team, sponsored by Clear View Auto Glass, highlights the achievements of the top players in the area and their athletic achievements. A first-team and a second-team are split into two sides — offense and defense — chosen by the SCS staff. Input from area coaches, all-league and all-Northern Section accolades, statistics and personal experience were the factors that went into selecting these 40 players — 28 on offense, 12 on defense. Another eight players were selected to the first “The Great 8” team regardless of position to highlight 8-man football standouts.
Below is the all-Shasta County selections on offense. Some players may have played multiple positions and both sides of the ball. It was the goal of SCS to make sure deserving players found spots among the two teams, even if they may have shined more in a position other than there are listed at. Players who received disciplinary action from on-field incidents were penalized during the voting process.
